Okay. I wanna play a quick game of two truths and a lie about video content creation. Let's see if you can spot the lie. So here's the first statement. Consistency beats perfection. Posting a 80% good video multiple times a week is way more effective than waiting for the perfect one. Second statement. If you put in the right kind of effort, you can create a viral campaign that'll explode your brand just next week. Just plan it right and boom, thousands of views overnight. Third statement, being yourself makes content creation way easier. Trying to be someone you're not is exhausting, and people can tell when you're forcing it. Touch your guesses in. For those of you who are not familiar with this, of the three statements that I made, two of them are true, and one of them is not. And you need to guess what it is. You got your guesses? So here's the truth. Virality isn't something that you can plan for. It comes from volume and consistency and not a single campaign. You create the right kind of content and do it over and over, and, eventually, the odds stacks in your favor. How did you do? Did you guess that right? Let me know in the comments.

Here's what I've realized. Most of you don't fail at building a personal brand because you lack the expertise. It's mostly because there are four gaps that you have not closed, and that's causing you to fail in building your personal brand. The first is the strategy gap. You can't just post and hope that something is going to happen and something's going to stick. You need to have a strategy. Who's your audience? Where are they spending the time? How are you going to write content that would actually connect to them and cut through the noise? And most importantly, is the content that you're putting out there is working towards the the goals that you care about, whether it's building authority, getting opportunities, or, like, getting leads. If you don't know this, this is the first gap. And then comes the tactics gap. And this is kind of where the hard work lives. You know, everything from, like, the recording, the editing, the writing captions, the tweaking content for each social media platform, setting up your content calendar, the hooks, the value, the CTA, the thumbnails, the, overlays, the edits, the b roll, all these things matter, and few are feeling to put in the effort to go through these details that needs to happen. And then there is the mindset gap. This is the wise that goes in your head that says that, I hate how I look on video or, I don't wanna post this content. I know that there are so many others who know this better than me. Or, oh, there's already so much content out there. Who am I to go and, like, talk about this thing? So here's the fix. Authenticity is not the same as perfection. It's sounding like yourself and trusting that your story matters and has value. And finally, there's the habit gap. If you have to do this only once, it's really easy. But doing it over and over, that's where the real growth happens. So it's kinda like dieting. If you were to eat good for one day or a couple of days, it's easy for you to do. But you know that if you do this consistently, that's when it's gonna have the improvement in your health. So your brand also works similarly. Consistency compounds. So here's the question for you. Which of these four gaps, strategic, tactics, mindset, and habit, is holding you off from building your personal brand?

When you tell me video is not my thing, I respect that. You know, I don't push, and I don't want you to change yourself. But if somewhere in your head, you think that, like, what if video was my thing? Then here are three things that you can do to make that easy to get started. Remember, these are not, oh, practice in front of a camera or, like, keep saying things aloud and, like, first before you go record or something like that because those things you already know. The first thing is start with that conversation. You start by having somebody ask you general open ended questions and let the camera roll while you are just answering them. Slowly in the second step, you have them ask questions that could make for meaningful conversation and have you record your authentic thoughts as you see fit. And then finally, when you get a chance, have them ask those questions again, and this time, think a little bit before you answer them. When you're talking to somebody, it feels like you are just on a Zoom call and you're having a conversation, and on the side, you're getting recorded. This is the most easiest way to get started to being on video and recording yourself for content creation. Once you get comfortable, then you can try a collab video format where you're recording questions, or you're having someone else record questions, and then they send you a Zync, and then you're responding to their questions in your own time. This becomes a way that is sustainable, and it feels very authentic that you're answering somebody's questions.

If I had a dollar for every time I hear, I'm just getting my product ready, I'm gonna start creating my content when the launch has already happened. This is completely backwards. If by launch day, you have not created an audience, it's pretty late already. Imagine launching to nobody on the day that you launch. If you haven't hyped up and built an audience by the time that you're gonna be launching, then you're launching to nobody. Most critical time to get traction is at Arjun time. And at that time, if you have no audience, it kills the momentum. And now switch it and see how this looks. You have been hyping up and talking about this for months. And when the day that your launch comes, your audience are already aware and prepared for something like this to happen. So launch day should feel like a culmination rather than a starting point. If you're wondering what can I talk when I actually haven't even launched my product, here are things that you can start talking about? Start talking about your journey. Start talking about things that you're learning, and more importantly, start poking at the problem that you're solving. That way, when you are launching, you've already brought in people who have the problem and are, like, bought in on your journey, and they're ready to buy your product.
